The
Cohu 3600 Series will change the way you think about color imaging cameras.
It's a professional-grade imaging camera designed exclusively for machine
vision applications that require color images. It's small, ruggedly built,
and, with only one connector, easy to integrate into a variety of machine
vision applications where space and installation efficiency are important.
Optional sensors sizes increase optical flexibility.
The 3600
Series can be accelerated and vibrated under some rigorous conditions while
maintaining a clear, stable image, day in and day out. Cohu has more than 40
years experience building cameras to military specifications, and we apply
that real-world knowledge to machine vision. Optics are standard
C/CS-mount. Board sets and customization are available. And because
Cohu specializes in OEM cameras, you'll find economical pricing, as well. |

Choose
the Model 3950 for high quality video surveillance with the flexibility of a
traditional pan & tilt mechanism. The camera specifications of the Model
3950 are identical to those of the 3920 i-domeTM,
while the positioner allows the camera to be pointed at angles up to 40
degrees above horizontal. This is particularly significant if the
installation requires viewing up a hill, for example, or some scene above
the common horizon.
The
standard positioner speeds are variable with maximums of 40° per second in
pan mode and 20° per second in tilt while sustaining 90- mph winds. The pan
range is a continuous 360 degrees while the tilt range is +40° to -90°
degrees from horizontal. There are 64 preset positions with a preset
accuracy of one-quarter degree and electronic limit stops. When responding
to standard pan-preset or manual control, the 3950 can move with a pan speed
of 100° per second.
Cohu
knows how to build for bad weather and environmental conditions. The 3950
Series operates in temperatures ranging from -40° to +140°F, and with
operational wind loading to 90 MPH. The enclosure protects against salt,
grime, dirt, and moisture. |

These
high performance monochrome CCD cameras provide high resolution pictures
with sensitivity as low as 0.3 lux, with zero geometric distortion and no
lag or image retention. Jumpers select AGC on/off, auto or manual black
level, 0.5 or 1.0 gamma, and synchronization modes. The 6400 and 6700 Series
models are remote head versions of the 4710 and 4810 models, with the same
electrical specifications. Connected to the camera control unit by an
integral 15 ft/4.5 m cable, the remote head weighs only 113 grams and
measures 38 mm in diameter and 51 mm in length. Some available options
include increased S/N ratio up to 62 dB, spectrum coverage from 200 nm to
1050 nm, removal of imager faceplate for fiber optic and laser applications,
and painting with logo to client specifications. For gel analysis
applications, please confer with your Cohu sales representative or
applications engineer for ordering information. |

The Cohu
4920 monochrome CCD camera utilizes Peltier cooling to dramatically reduce
dark current noise that accumulates during extended integration periods. The
result is a high performance video imaging camera with low noise, wide
dynamic range, low-light capability, and spectral response to near IR.
The Cohu
4920 offers other high performance and convenience features as well, for
scientific and industrial video applications that require viewing low
contrast images in very low light conditions, The 1/2"-format on-chip
microlens sensor provides high resolution and high sensitivity, reduced lag
and blooming, and wider dynamic range and spectral characteristics.
Integration time can be controlled via the auxiliary connector. A removable
trim plate accesses controls such as gamma and gain. An LED conveniently
illuminates when the CCD is within 2° C of the temperature set point. The
temperature of the sensor, expressed as voltage, is output through an
auxiliary pin for display on a meter or computer terminal. The Cohu 4920
camera is manufactured in the U.S.A. and backed by a two year warranty.

The new 7800 Series CMOS camera from Cohu
provides users of machine vision systems a low cost, high-quality
alternative to vision solutions that require CCD imager performance.
It is designed for speed and economy without sacrificing resolution. Output
is single 8-bit digital in Camera Link format. The camera
operates in a non-interlaced (progressive scan) format at user-selectable
speeds:
- 30 frames per second at 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution
- 120 frames per second at 640 x 480 pixel resolution
- up to 500,000 frames per second at correspondingly
lower resolutions
Partial readout allows the user to select a region of
interest for a dramatic increase in frame rate. Full
asynchronous image capture with programmable partial scan (region of
interest) provides the flexibility to utilize the camera in variable machine
vision applications.
The CMOS sensor is highly sensitive in the near infrared
spectrum. Cohu achieves the true potential of CMOS functionality by
employing sensors that boost the signal to noise ratio and optimize spectral
response.
Available in monochrome or color output versions to
provide application-specific flexibility. Both are designed for a wide range
of high-speed machine vision applications including test, inspection, OCR/DCR
reading, and biomedical applications. Choose the color model for
applications that require the need to discern or manipulate color images.
The monochrome version provides slightly higher resolution and sensitivity.
Its small size, weight, and performance make this camera ideal for nearly
any OEM application.
Board sets and customization are available and welcome.
The Cohu 7800 Series camera provides CameraLink output
format. |

NetCAMS makes it easier than ever to operate
a CCTV control system using standard network infrastructures. Its
PC-based architecture helps reduce system costs. NetCAMS is the
evolution of Cohu's popular CAMS software that operates CCTV systems with
hundreds of elements easily and quickly - all under the command of your
mouse and keyboard. Even configure and control a Cohu digital signal
processing (DSP) camera from within NetCAMS. NetCAMS
is designed for the new generation of Ethernet networks, but can be easily
and inexpensively integrated into existing systems. It operates on a
Windows™ NT 4.0 and later and Windows 98 and later network with added server
and client application components. It supports a data or hardwire interface
for integration to other systems. NetCAMS will integrate with manual
controls such as joysticks, and a wide range of the most common surveillance
hardware such as switchers, recorders, and positioners.
With a map of your system, or of a part of your system,
call up live video from any camera, control camera functions (pan/tilt,
zoom, focus, iris, power, color balance), and store and recall presets
positions for fast system configuration. Any system hardware component
(camera, recorder, etc.) with remote control ability can have an icon placed
anywhere on the system map for fast and intuitive operation. |
